Snowshoeing

There are often snow-covered, lonely winter paths in the numerous side valleys of Saalfelden Leogang. Ideal for a leisurely winter hike directly from the Krallerhof. If you prefer to go your own way, simply put on your snowshoes. Snowshoeing allows you to discover the white winter splendor almost silently.

Cross-country skiing & ski touring
on short winter days

The Krallerhof is located in the center of a designated cross-country skiing and biathlon region. This means you can access the network of trails right outside the hotel. Around 150 km of perfectly groomed trails offer the best conditions for all levels and styles. Breathtaking scenery, powder snow and pure nature await touring skiers. With state-certified mountain and ski guides from the hotel's own ski school, Skiszene Altenberger, you can experience the most beautiful peaks and exciting deep-snow descents away from the pistes. A route for ski tourers leads from the hotel across romantic Alpine pastures and mountain forests, away from the pistes on the Asitz.

Ice skating &
Curling

In Saalfelden Leogang, ice skaters do their laps on the natural ice rink on the frozen Ritzensee or try their hand at ice speedway at Brandlhof. If you still haven't had enough of the ice, try ice go-karting or curling. Fun is guaranteed!

Tobogganing by day 
and night

Tobogganing on the Asitz is a unique experience in the snow. Enjoy nature to the full and have fun in the snow at the same time - that's the motto. As an evening family adventure and the crowning glory of the day, tobogganing fun on the Asitz is an impressive experience. From the mountain huts AsitzBräu and AlteSchmiede you can smell the wonderful aroma of hot chocolate and Kaiserschmarren - you shouldn't miss out on these culinary delights!

Our events

Entertainment is also provided in the evenings at our events:

Asitz Music Night: Up the mountain, into the parlor. Exceptional atmosphere with weekly changing bands and a spectacular fire show. Every Tuesday with international live music.

Summit Evening: Whether as a refreshment before moonlight tobogganing or simply because you fancy a real stone oven pizza, the AlteSchmiede spoils you on Fridays at our traditional mountain evening with local and international cuisine and lots of music.

AsitzBräu Vibes: In the AsitzBräu you can round off your day's skiing with modern live and DJ music every week (always Friday to Monday).

Hut jumping: Every Wednesday, the spectacular ski show with the "Red Devils" of the Altenberger ski scene takes place at the KrallerAlm.
